G-SHOCK Reveals Its Northern Lights-Inspired MT-G Watch
Available for an exclusive pre-sale via the brand’s UK site.
For Spring/Summer, G-SHOCK is gearing up to release an updated iteration of its MT-G model, boasting a radiant look inspired by the northern lights a.k.a aurora borealis.
Faithful to the model’s defining characteristics, the new MTG-B3000PRB-1AER features a carbon fiber-integrated steel case that is both durable and lightweight. Boasting an iridescent and metallic case and bezel, the look and textures are created via deep-layer hardening processes, stainless steel recrystallization, and finished with a Rainbow IP application. To emulate the aurora borealis’ coloration, the watch is paired with a translucent purple band, crafted from resin.
In terms of specs, the special edition MT-G watch is equipped with the usual automatic calendar function, LED display, Tough Solar charging, Bluetooth mobile link, and Multi-Band 6 for automatic radio time adjustments. Like its preceding models from the same series, the watch is hand-assembled and finished by the brand’s Yamagata-based watchmakers in Japan.
Due to release in June, the new MTG-B3000PRB-1AER retails for £1,300 GBP/ $1,400 USD and is now available for pre-order via an exclusive pre-sale initiative at G-SHOCK’s UK site.
