adidas is set to release its existing Yeezy product this May, donating a significant amount of the proceeds to “selected organizations working to combat discrimination and hate, including racism and antisemitism.” Arriving alongside a range of adidas YEEZY 380s, 500s, 700s, Foam Runners, and Slides is the OG YEEZY BOOST 350 “Pirate Black” colorway.

“After careful consideration, we have decided to begin releasing some of the remaining adidas YEEZY products. Selling and donating was the preferred option among all organizations and stakeholders we spoke to,” said adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden. “We believe this is the best solution as it respects the created designs and produced shoes, it works for our people, resolves an inventory problem, and will have a positive impact in our communities. There is no place in sport or society for hate of any kind and we remain committed to fighting against it.”

The upcoming “Pirate Black” pairs look to be consistent with the original August 2015 versions featuring black and grey  Primeknit uppers with red stitching along the heel pull tab. Below are black rubber sole units equipped with full-length Boost cushioning.

While the adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 “Turtle Dove” colorway was re-released back in June 2022, no reports have surfaced yet of the other two V1 “Moonrock” and “Oxford Tan” colorways making a return.

Look for the adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 “Pirate Black” to drop on May 31 via adidas CONFIRMED for $200 USD.

Elsewhere in footwear, Aimé Leon Dore’s Timberland 3-Eye Lug Boots return for SS23.
