Stüssy Taps Heal the Bay For a Second Collection
Dedicated to protecting Greater LA coastal waters.
Following their debut capsule collection last year, Stüssy now joins forces with environmental nonprofit Heal The Bay once again. Established in 1985, Heal The Bay is dedicated to making the coastal waters and watersheds in Greater Los Angeles safe, healthy, and clean through science, education, community action, and advocacy.
For more than three decades, the organization has been a main advocate for the Santa Monica Bay, protecting the coastline, restoring the waterways, and enacting clean water policy to protect public health. Previewed as part of the collection in a short teaser video, is a trucker hat and a graphic tee calling out to the Bay with the quote, “our oceans and watersheds should be teeming with diverse wildlife, not with plastic waste and micro plastics!!” Calling attention to the urgency of the matter, the snippet ends with “We can’t wait any longer” in Stüssy font.
The Stüssy x Heal the Bay collection will be available worldwide via Stüssy’s website and chapter stores on April 21 at 10 a.m. PST (1 p.m. EST). More details about Heal The Bay can be found at the organization’s website.
