Zara Home's Latest Collection is Bohemian in its Spirit
A summer-ready capsule created in collaboration with Milanese magazine Cabana.
Hot off the heels of its collaboration with design icon Vicent Van Duysen, Zara Home has launched its latest co-authored range, this time alongside Milan-based interior design magazine and label Cabana.
While the Van Duysen collection was an exercise in refined minimalism, the Cabana collection goes all-out on pattern, texture, and color. Tableware, glassware, and textiles have all been inspired by the concept of adventure and discovery, with the design team dreaming up pieces that pay homage to ancient traditions and cultures.
Techniques used by craftspeople for centuries are employed across the collection. Woven baskets and table mats are joined by hand-painted ceramics, while printed textiles are elevated through embroidered elements. Glassware is frosted yet colorful and is available in tumbler, goblet, and vase shapes.
Overall, though, this is a collection destined for maximalist layering. Not for the faint-hearted, the designers envisaged the pieces being used to create bold tablescapes that feel familiar and warm, playing host to home-cooked dishes and informal dinner parties. “Inspired by the distant lands and decorative treasures that grace Cabana Magazine, the collection conjures the joy of travel, the spirit of tradition, and the discovery of culture,” the designers say. “It pays homage to lost and ancient traditions with its colorful details and eye-catching embroidery and celebrates both the thrill of travel and the refuge of home.”
The Zara Home x Cabana collection is available from the label’s website now, with prices starting at £9.99 (approximately $12.25 USD). Take a closer look above, and for more design, check out Aēsop’s new Canary Wharf location in London, which is infused with historical design cues.
