Sergio Tacchini SS23 Takes Angus Cloud and Nico Hiraga to the Tennis Court
Shot by Aidan Cullen, the SoCal-set campaign spotlights the sportswear label’s liking for striking colors and commanding prints.

For Spring/Summer 2023, tennis label Sergio Tacchini cooked up a slew of heritage-inspired designs under the hot desert sun of Anza-Borrego, California. There, on sun-drenched tennis courts, photographer Aidan Cullen shot a kaleidoscopic (and star-studded) campaign for the range, titled “Beyond the Line,” picturing Euphoria‘s Angus Cloud, skater Nico Hiraga, Khalil Ghani, Amalie Gassmann and Isabella Elei in the brand’s reinvented silhouettes.
The sartorial imagery spotlights Tacchini’s penchant for gradient color stories and nature-inspired prints. Expanding on the designer’s roots at the corner of tennis and lifestyle, this season’s offerings dip into the brand’s archives to renovate its staple silhouettes with fresh cuts and strong tones.
Signature tracksuits are made new with specialty fabrics, including athletic terrycloth and crinkle nylon, referencing ’90s football “Terrace” culture in the U.K. Similarly, the Damarindo Traksuit appears in plush velour and sporty mesh, playing into the styles tropes of Y2K.
Several ensembles, from top to bottom, flaunt landscape graphics, which “represent a post-pandemic shift from virtual to natural environments,” according to collection notes. Among them, a pastel “Riviera” print begs for a vacation, appearing across a cabana set, track jacket and bucket hat, while the “Corisco” graphic appears ready for a heated tennis match.
