UCONN Basketball Team Receives Nike Kobe 8 Protro PEs
As a part of the Nike Mamba Program.
Since Vanessa Bryant launched the Nike Mamba Program in September 2023, six NCAA basketball teams — UCONN, LSU, Oregon, USC, Kentucky and Duke — were all presented with special Nike Kobe Player Editions. Just a couple of days ago, UCONN has been the most recent school that has received an exclusive pair of the Nike Kobe 8 Protro PEs.
Styled in the school’s colors in midnight navy, white, and varsity red, the shoe is a simple yet sleek rendition of the iconic silhouette. The shoe’s mesh upper is in midnight navy while white details highlight the Swooshes, laces, inner lining, heel counter and rubber outsole. The Kobe Mamba logo on the heel is in red while the school’s husky emblem is on the tongue. Kobe Bryant‘s signature is on the heel counter.
While these are unlikely to hit retail shelves, as this is exclusive for those in UCONN’s men’s and women’s basketball programs, the shoes under the Nike Mamba Program continute to make waves. Take a look at the shoe above or below.
