Megan Thee Stallion is still a proudly independent artist but she will now be partnering with Warner Music Group to distribute her music.

The rapper parted ways with her former record label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, in October after a three-year legal battle. Under that deal, her music was distributed in a partnership with 300 Entertainment, which was acquired by Warner Music Group in 2021.

Megan filed a lawsuit against 1501 for alleged unpaid royalties under her deal and the two parties reportedly “reached a confidential settlement to resolve their legal differences,” per Billboard.

In the new distribution agreement, the rapper will be supported by employees at 300 Entertainment and others throughout WMG. She’ll continue to be managed by Roc Nation

2022’s Traumazine marked her last full-length project released via 1501. In October, she returned with the track “Cobra.” She also told fans at the time that her next album would be fully self-funded.

“I’m so excited to be doing something for the first time independent since it was just me and my mama,” she said on an Instagram Live session, per Billboard.
