For Pre-Fall 2024, Moschino has love on the brain.

The Italian fashion house’s latest range begins and ends with colossal heart motifs — some boldly iconographic (in Moschino’s signature form) and others more heavy, due in part to the loss of Davide Renne, the brand’s freshly-named creative director who passed away less than one month after assuming the role.

The opening ensemble centers a frilled tuxedo shirt, with a shimmering red heart planted across the chest, that’s tucked into a casual pair of jeans. The loving symbol returns in the final two looks — on a long-sleeve top, straight trousers and a top coat — with a much somber finish. Despite the darker tone, the illustrative concluding pieces are heartfelt, and their stark colorblocking informs the remainder of the collection.

Black suits feature white circular insets across the chest and through the legs, while tracksuits let blues and greens mingle playfully. Polka-dot patterns appear on button-downs and trousers in pink, while leather, in brown and black, forms a majority of the collection’s jackets.

Moschino’s comic persona comes through via red security tags, which are very-obviously attached to blazers and trenches, as well as wide-set ties that ask for all the attention with brightly-striped designs. However, the collection’s hero is an electric blue suit, which features an unmissable leather blazer paired with a woven shirt and trousers in an identical sky-inspired tone.
