Chopard’s Limited-Edition Alpine Eagle Sunburnt Draws Inspiration From Australian Landscapes
Featuring contemporary artist, Shal’s emblematic motifs.
Chopard has enlisted multi-disciplinary artist, Shaun Daniel Allen (Shal) for a special limited-edition collaboration starring 20 examples of the Alpine Eagle Sunburnt watch.
Encased in Lucent Steel™, the 41mm timepiece spotlights a radiant sunburnt red dial, inspired by the rich, warm hues as seen in natural landscapes in Australia. The dial features a fumé gradient effect with striking textures that emulate an eagle’s eye. Rhodium-plated Roman numerals, hour markers, and handset punctuate the dial, complete with a small date window in between the 4 and 5 o’clock marks.
Viewable from the exhibition caseback, Chopard’s 01.01-C self-winding caliber beats at a rate of 28,800vph, powering the timepiece with up to 60 hours continuously. Decorating the caseback’s sapphire crystal are Shal’s emblematic swirl patterns and motifs in varying hues of red. This design is also reiterated on the watch’s external packaging, where these river-like patterns are decked all over the box.
With only 20 units produced, the Alpine Eagle Sunburnt limited edition is available for inquiry via Chopard’s official website. A portion of the watch’s profits will be donated to the Ngunya Jarjum Aboriginal Corporation to help maintain the operation of its programs.
