BAPE Reveals 30th Anniversary Capsule Inspired by Traditional Japanese Designs
Brought to life in collaboration with pop artist sneakerwolf.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary, A BATHING APE or BAPE has announced a new capsule with over 19 items, many of which feature three color iterations, ranging from a Shark hooded Kimono to a new special edition BAPEX Type 4 watch.
For the theme of the collection, BAPE has tapped into its roots, honoring traditionally styled Japanese items with its own twist. Additionally, a majority of the items in the collection also see the touch of Tokyo-based artist, designer and sneakerhead sneakerwolf.
Notable items in the collection include the aforementioned Shark Hooded Kimono, the special 30th Anniversary edition BAPEX watch and a pair of BAPE STA CLUTCH STA 30th anniversary shoes. On the accessories front, the collection includes a commemorative folding fan, a BABY MILO Kokeshi, small, medium and large entryway canvases, as well as a variety of paperweights.
Prices for items in the collection range from ¥8,800 to ¥90,200 JPY or $58 USD to $595 USD and will be available via BAPE’s official site starting tomorrow, November 11.
