50 Cent's "In Da Club" Is Officially Certified Diamond
20 years after its release.
50 Cent‘s “In Da Club” has officially been certified Diamond by the RIAA, 20 years after its release.
The Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ cut has now sold at least 10 million units in the United States and has so far amassed more than 1.2 billion Spotify streams, along with 1.8 billion YouTube views for its official music videos. “In Da Club” marks Fif’s first ever Diamond plaque.
The track was produced by Dr. Dre and Mike Elizondo and was the No. 1 song in the Billboard Hot 100 year-end chart in 20023. The certification coincides with Get Rich Or Die Tryin’s 20th anniversary; the record dropped in February 2023, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and was the best-selling album of the year. It also gave 50 five GRAMMY nominations including Best New Artist, Best Rap Album, Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group, Best Male Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Song.
