Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign's Joint Album Reportedly Delayed While They Shop for Distributor
The project was supposedly due to release on October 13.

An upcoming joint album from Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign has reportedly suffered from some delays as the two seek for a distribution partner.
Sources tell Billboard that the two are currently considering five different options and that Ye “will make a decision soon.” The record was supposedly meant to drop last Friday, October 13, but is now projected to release in the coming weeks. An official or exact release date was not confirmed, however.
The record is reportedly some of West’s best music in the past five years, but industry executives have allegedly passed on distributing the album due to the artist’s antisemitic comments. Although the lyrics are not controversial, many have decided to play it safe due to the heightened tensions between Israel and the Hamas.
In 2022, Universal Music Group announced that Def Jam was no longer working with West nor his GOOD Music label after he released 10 albums under the label. “Def Jam’s relationship with Ye as a recording artist, Def Jam’s partnership with the GOOD Music label venture and Ye’s merchandise agreement with Bravado all ended in 2021,” a representative for Universal Music Group said.
