Gucci Mane Honored With His Own Day in Atlanta
Giving the rapper his own holiday.
Rapper Gucci Mane has officially been honored with his own holiday in the city of Atlanta. As of October 17, the city has declared it to be Gucci Mane day.
Akademiks took to Instagram to share the official proclamation signed by the city, noting that October 17 will forever be known in recognition of Radric “Gucci Mane” Davis. Abbreviated to 1017, the number also corresponds to his recording company and label. The celebration of Gucci Mane day came as he released his new album Breath of Fresh Air.
Breath of Fresh Air is the first new project of 2023 and includes 24 tracks. The album features a number of high profile collaborators including Lil Baby, Young Dolph, Key Glock, J. Cole, DaBaby, 21 Savage, Roddy Ricch, Nardo Wick, and Kodak Black, just to name a few. At the moment, the album has already racked up tens of millions of streams. Gucci Mane also took to Instagram to celebrate the day with the release of his new album. Take a look at the announcements below.
