BLACKPINK’s Jennie Unveils Solo Release "Special Single (You & Me)"
Her first release apart from the group since 2018’s “Solo.”
Jennie from BLACKPINK has been amping up her solo efforts as of late. Last month, the K-pop star told Harper’s Bazaar Korea that she was “making a song that’s by Jennie, the most Jennie and something unique that is only Jennie’s.”
Jennie has now shared a new song entitled “Special Single (You & Me).” The track isn’t wholly new, but rather a reworked version of the same song Jennie performed during BLACKPINK’s set at Coachella 2023.
To take things up a notch, the singer infused the dance-pop anthem with some rap influences. A video for the song also recreates some of the choreography the girl group performed during their Coachella set.
She also teamed up with Naoko Takeuchi, the creator of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, for the “Special Single (You & Me)” cover art.
