The Stockholm-born Nordic design gallery, Modernity, is set to open a new permanent space in London.

Located in Newson’s Yard of the Pimlico Design District, the new space is set to take Modernity’s UK operations to new heights since first setting its feet down in 2019. Since then, Modernity has managed to strengthen its name in the market due to a caliber of exhibitions and events, which have adequately grown its clientele list.

The new space will house Modernity’s signature theme of luxury 20th-century Nordic pieces including furniture, ceramics, lighting, glass and jewelry. Championed names in Modernity’s catalog include works from Hans Wegner, Finn Juhl, Arne Jacobson and more. “We have been looking at Pimlico Road for many years,” said director Andrew Duncanson. “It is obviously a natural choice for us, being amongst other specialist dealers of contemporary design, vintage design and classic antiques, along with important interior designers. As with all locations, the nature of the area is incredibly important.”

Take a look at the space above. Modernity’s new London gallery is set to open on Tuesday, January 24.

In related news, iconic pieces by Philippe Starck come together for a Paris retrospective.
