adidas Revives the MÜNCHEN Sneaker for Germany's City Series
Paying tribute to Germany’s largest city of Bavaria.

Following the release of several capital city-inspired sneakers that have made their way onto shelves in the past few years, adidas is taking antics to Germany’s largest territory for its latest City Series launch.
This time around, the Three Stripes imprint looks to Bavaria to revive its long-lost MÜNCHEN sneaker that debuted in the 1970s as a multi-functional training silhouette. The archival model is now set to return, developed in collaboration with Japanese retailer BILLY’s.
The low-top shoe sports a sleek two-toned design fashioned in laidback brown and grey hues. Rugged suede encapsulates the kicks throughout, while light brown leather hits the profile logos and adidas-branded tongues and heel tabs. MÜNCHEN lettering sits at the medials with a gilded finish, while textured gum sole units complete the balanced design.
Take a closer look at the adidas MÜNCHEN in the gallery above. The sneaker will drop in the coming weeks via select global retailers for ¥14,300 YEN (approximately $110 USD).
In other news, the Nike Dunk Low “Just Do It” is outfitted with gold medallions.
