adidas Draws Inspiration From Marathon Running Silhouettes With the Esiod
Arriving in European markets first.

adidas leverages its global presence as a leader in footwear to experiment with silhouettes in select regions. Continuing this trend, adidas Originals has introduced the Esiod to European markets. The lifestyle sneaker pulls its shape from marathon running silhouettes, evidenced by its unique sole unit. Debuting in two colorways, the scope of this release has yet to be declared by the Three Stripes.
Both initial looks hitting the adidas Esiod carry a mesh upper that is supported by faux suede, balancing the sport influence with street-approved detailing. Additional specifications include a leather lining, reflective metallic Three Stripes and an arched rubber outsole. With “Clay Brown,” soft shades of brown outfit the upper, midsole wedge and outsole while white covers the rest of the midsole. Similarly, a white midsole arrives on the “Light Onix” colorway with an “Altered Amber” wedge. This accent color hits the heel and tongue as well while various grays are found throughout the remainder of the upper.
Release for the adidas Esiod in “Clay Brown” and “Light Onix” is scheduled for September 25 via adidas UK and select international retailers at a price of £150 GBP (approx. $173 USD). It is uncertain whether or not the silhouette will receive a stateside release in the months to follow.
Elsewhere in the world of footwear, early images of the adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 CMPCT “Panda” have surfaced.
