Here's What Went Down at ACGHK 2022 Anime-Toy Convention in Hong Kong
Seeing over 200,000 fans and 140 booths over the weekend.
































































As conventions slowly return to the city of Hong Kong, one of the most anticipated yearly attraction makes its 23rd appearance – ACGHK (the Animation-Comic-Game convention). Seeing close to 200,000 anime lovers over the course of the weekend, ACGHK is a chance for fans to show support for their favorite characters, sign up for exclusive pre-orders, and for businesses owners to meet some of the biggest toy manufactures in Asia.
With over 130 booths on display, names like Bandai Gunpla, Asus ROG, Sony PlayStation, Microsoft Xbox, Konami Yu-Gi-Oh! (OCG), Yolopark, Mercedes-AMG (GT7), Tik Ka From East x BigBoysToys, threezero, to name a few, all made an appearance along with local manhua icons.
This year saw a clear push for the TCG category of gaming with the Dragon Ball franchise joined by One Piece and Digimon. Apart from HK’s consistent Marvel and Transformers fanbase, titles like Stray, Jujutsu Kaisen and SPYxFAMILY were clear winners at 2022 ACGHK. Rounding off the convention was a dedicated meet-and-greet section for all the city’s biggest cosplayers.
In other toy news, Hot Toys re-creates Murphy from RoboCop 3.
