Adidas Celebrates Notting Hill Carnival with Festive Samba and Campus Releases
The London-based Caribbean carnival kicks off this weekend.
London’s annual Notting Hill Carnival is just around the corner, returning to the British capital for the first time in three years. Known for its parading dancers, mouth-watering food stalls and anything in between, adidas has chosen to dive into the occasion with high spirits, crafting a duo of celebratory kicks infused with carnival motifs.
The adidas OG Samba and Campus 00 arrive as polar opposites, the latter presented in a neutral beige palette. Light cream leather overlays dress the upper, accompanied by tan suede mudguards and tongues. The festive mood is communicated through silver Three Stripes branding at the medials and heel tabs inspired by chattering steel pans. A vibrant hummingbird is embroidered below the collars, reflecting the feathered outfits often worn by parade dancers. Gum rubber midsoles and outsoles complete the pair.
The Campus 00 delivers a contrasting approach, showcasing the classic in a smooth black suede base. Tonal leather trimmings decorate the tongues, heels and medial logos, while the Caribbean carnival is channeled through a blue and pink feathered design embroidered on the outer shell.
