Italian label ROLD SKOV has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2023 collection, taking inspiration from an iconic Stone Roses concert. The Manchester band played at Spike Island in Widnes in May 1990, and day-long event has become known as a seminal moment in the crossover between indie and dance music.

ROLD SKOV references this time and the clothes that were on show at Spike Island. The collection’s shirting is a particular focus, with stand-out pieces including all-over playful graphics — incorporating sketches of flowers and butterflies — as well as sheer checked shirts worn over vests and oversized short sleeve shirts. Elsewhere, the collection reinterprets the ’90s influence through its take on knitwear, denim and lightweight jackets.

Take a look at the SS23 collection from ROLD SKOV in the gallery above, and visit the brand’s web store for more information.

In other fashion news, Japanese label AURALEE recently returned to Paris to show its SS23 collection.
