PORTER Unveils the SENSES Collection
A timeless series of bags from the famed Japanese label.

When it comes to bag makers, it’s hard to think of another label with the pedigree of PORTER. Since its inception in 1962, the Japanese brand has placed quality and craftsmanship at the core of its business. Despite its myriad collaborations with everyone from fragment design, Drake’s OVO and COMME des GARÇONS, the company has stayed true to its roots by creating high quality bags and accessories that are exclusively made in Japan.
PORTER has unveiled a new collection that feels both familiar and new — showcasing an all blacked-out series of bags that come equipped with subtle additions to fit the needs of today’s consumer. As the name implies, SENSES is meant to activate several of our most innate ways of connecting with the world, specifically touch, vision and scent. The collection features a number of different bags, including a daypack ($359 USD) and backpack ($463 USD), a versatile 2-way pack ($381 USD) and tote bag ($269 USD), along with a doctors bag ($253 USD), toolbag ($245 USD), shoulder pack ($194USD) and vertical shoulder bag ($161 USD).
Each is created using a high-density nylon ox material that is complemented by αGEL technology throughout, offering excellent shock absorption and a soft relaxing feel along the handle, harness and shoulder pads. Additionally, PORTER has gone a step further by equipping every SENSES bag with a small nylon satchel containing a blend of sandalwood incense by fellow Japanese brand Shoyeido.
The PORTER SENSES collection is available at the company’s website, along with select online shops, such as FASHIONSHIP and cotwo.
In related news, PORTER tapped Neighborhood and Suicoke for a special Moto Cab sandal.
