Following the opening of the Virgil Abloh: Figures of Speech exhibition, the Brooklyn Museum has now released official merchandise for the retrospective celebrating the unwavering impact of the late creative.
“In an exhibition that pulls back the curtain on Abloh’s process, you’ll find prototypes, product designs and new presentations of his finished artworks for which he found inspiration in centuries-old paintings as well as commonplace symbols,” says the Brooklyn Museum in a description about the exhibit.
The special range of merch is comprised of hoodies, T-shirts, caps, bags, accessories, books and more, featuring designs conceptualized by Virgil Abloh back in 2019. Aside from a variety of Figures of Speech graphics, the decorative displays also utilize an “ABLOH” torch motif and “THE SUNROOF OF THE TROJAN HORSE” phrase inspired by a metaphor used by Virgil.
Rounding up the official merch is a re-publication of DelMonico Books’ Figure of Speech catalog book created for Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art debut of the Virgil Abloh: Figures of Speech exhibition
The Virgil Abloh: Figures of Speech official merch is available now on the “Church & State” shop, which also offers accompanying Off-White™ items for the exhibit, and at the Brooklyn Museum during the exhibition’s run until January 29.
