Joey Chestnut Eats 44 Cane's Chicken Fingers, Setting New World Record
To celebrate National Chicken Finger Day.
Showing that claiming his 15th win of the annual Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest wasn’t enough, Joey “Jaws” Chestnut recently set a new world record for the most chicken fingers eaten in five minutes. The competitive eater’s latest show was part of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers‘ celebrations for National Chicken Finger Day.
Taking place at Raising Cane’s location on the Las Vegas, Nevada strip, Chestnut put on an impressive show of eating prowess. Predicting that he would finish somewhere between 40 and 50 pieces, Chestnut was able to consume 44 chicken fingers in total. Throughout his challenge, the competitive eater maintained his pace with plenty of fluids and the famous Cane’s Sauce, of course. The competitive eater also declared that he would return to effectively beat the record he had just set.
For those wondering, Joey “Jaws” Chestnut revealed that he ate just salad for dinner the night before, skipped breakfast and drank plenty of fluids ahead of the challenge.
