Harry Styles Makes Spotify History With Most-Streamed Song in One Day
His latest single, “As It Was,” broke the record.
British singer and songwriter Harry Styles is no stranger to chart-topping success, but his new single “As It Was” has taken the musician to a record-breaking high in Spotify’s rankings.
Styles amassed 8.3 Million streams with his latest single on April 1, and it became the “most-streamed song in the US in a single day in Spotify history.” The previous streaming record was held by Olivia Rodrigo and her hit song “drivers license,” which came in at 8 Million streams in January.
Sharing the news on its Instagram page, Spotify also confirmed that Styles additionally holds the record for “most-streamed song globally in a single day in 2022” – so far – with 21.6 Million streams beating out Anitta’s 8.6 M streams with “Envolver.”
In other music news, Machine Gun Kelly shared a stripped-down cover of Frank Ocean’s “Swim Good.”
