The Batman has topped the domestic box office in its second weekend of release, accumulating $66 million USD from 4,417 theaters and moving its domestic total to an impressive $238.5 million USD.

After releasing in theaters just 10 days ago, The Batman is ranked as the highest-grossing film of 2022 and the second-highest-grossing movie since the onset of COVID-19. The latter category is led by Spider-Man: No Way Home, which has earned $792 million USD in North America in the pandemic era.

At the international box office, The Batman raked in an additional $66.6 million USD from 75 markets, propelling the film’s global tally to $463.2 million USD.

Ticket sales for The Batman fell approximately 50% in its second week, which is a relatively small decline for a comic book pic, according to Variety. Following behind the newly-released film, Tom Holland‘s Uncharted earned $9.2 million USD from 3,725 North American theaters, and a live-stream of BTS Permission to Dance on Stage: Seoul brought in $7 million USD from 803 venues.

The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves, stars Robert Pattinson in the titular role, Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Andy Serkis as Bruce Wayne’s butler Alfred Pennyworth and Colin Farrell as Penguin.
