Christie's To Auction fRiENDSiES NFT Collection by FriendsWithYou
The first-time collectors are given the opportunity to collaborate directly with creators.
Christie’s has officially announced fRiENDSiES by FriendsWithYou, the first time the auction will offer its collectors an opportunity to collaborate directly with the NFT creators on the design, mint and build of the hybrid pieces.
In December 2021, Christie’s first collaborated with OpenSea to sell its first fRiENDSiE, which fetched $425,000 USD. The auction house is partnering with the platform yet again for its upcoming sale. The auction is selling an NFT that grants the buyer exclusive access to design their own NFTs. The designs will eventually materialize into ten thousand customized digital companions which will then be realized through their immutable launch on the blockchain.
Buyers will have a 12-hour window to design and mint their own fRiENDSiE. Those who purchase one of the nine lots will have the opportunity to purchase a mint pass, presented in sequential order. The pass will grant the buyer exclusive access to the NFT builder before it hits the public. Each of the nine designs and mints are considered one-of-a-kind fRiENDSiES. The creators FriendsWithYou, will build and gift the collector with a painted bronze sculpture of their own design, only for the nine buyers.
The Christie’s sale will go live on fRiENDSiES on March 26-28. The public sale will begin on April 2 at 12 p.m. EST. For more information, check out FriendsWithYou.
