After launching the first episode of its Into the Starfield featurette that gives fans a more behind-the-scenes look at Starfield‘s creation and development, Bethesda has now released the second episode, showcasing some of the upcoming title’s expansive world, factions and NPC interaction.

Similar to Cyberpunk 2077, there’ll be three main factions to choose from. The United Colonies represent a space republic, the Freestar Collective resembles a space western frontier, and Ryujin Industries is for those who want to experience a futuristic corporate life. Interestingly, there also seems to be a fourth faction called the Crimson Fleet, which allows players to join a band of space pirates and play as the villains.

“I think when we knew we were making a game about space, you ask yourself certain questions, and that question is: what is out there?” said design director Emil Pagliarulo. “As a game, we have romance, adventure, mystery, but I think what Starfield is this other layer of the cosmos, the universe, and what is out there.”

“At the end of it, we want players to have told their own journey, but then look back at it and ask the big questions,” Todd Howard added. “Why are we all here? Where is it leading? What’s next for humanity?”

Check out episode two of Into the Starfield above while you wait for its release on November 11.

In other gaming news, Sam Barlow has released a new trailer for his upcoming mystery thriller Immortality.
