Highlighting the artwork of ‘Unknown Pleasures’ and ‘Closer’ on monochromatic pieces.

WAVE has unveiled its newest capsule collection honoring Joy Division.
The monochromatic collection is comprised of sweatshirts, T-shirts, long-sleeved T-shirts, record bags and caps that feature the artwork of the band’s two studio albums, Unknown Pleasures and Closer. It includes Peter Saville’s work for the cover art of Joy Division’s debut album, where he used a data plot of signals from a radio pulsar to create the iconic image.
DJ YAMARCHY has also produced a DJ mix with a selection of post-punk and new wave cuts to celebrate the collection’s release, which will be available on the WAVE website.
WAVE’s Joy Division collection will be available on WAVE’s official online store starting February 3, and the WAVE brick-and-mortar store and THE CONTEMPORARY FIX in Kyoto on February 4. Prices range from ¥4,950 JPY (approximately $45 USD) for the record bags, ¥7,150 JPY (approximately $60 USD) for the T-shirts, ¥8,800 JPY (approximately $75 USD) for the caps and long-sleeved T-shirt and ¥16,500 JPY (approximately $145 USD) for the sweatshirts.
