Warner Bros. has officially confirmed that it is adapting the beloved Wonder Twins comic into a live-action DC Comics film.

The film has brought on Adam Szykiel, who has worked on the upcoming Black Adam, to write and direct the original live-action feature. The film is set to be produced for HBO Max and follows the storyline of the pair of alien siblings, Zan and Jayna. The twins, best known for their superhero catchphrase, “Wonder Twin power, activate!” is said before Jayna transforms into any animal of her choosing and Zan is turned into various shapes of water.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the characters have been made popular “thanks to their introduction on Hanna-Barbera’s The All-New Super Friends Hour as young companions to adult heroes such as Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. The duo then appeared in the Super Friends comic and, over time, became incorporated into the larger DC universe.”

The plotline for the project has yet to be announced. Production is set to begin this year.
