Eckhaus Latta Stages 10th Anniversary FW22 Runway at NYC's Historic Essex Market
Brian Chippendale and DJ Doss soundtracked the cutting-edge line’s debut.
Eckhaus Latta on Saturday held its 10th anniversary fashion show at the Lower East Side’s historic Essex Market, where the New York label debuted its Fall/Winter 2022 cuts among cult-classic vendor booths and fashion’s troupe of glitterati.
Soundtracked by Brian Chippendale and DJ Doss, the runway presentation welcomed several classic-yet-cool Eckhaus Latta ensembles. Among the range, denim pants with tasteful, waist-to-ankle tears pair with a straightforward, round-neck cardigan, while silky button-downs and wide-leg pants offer a bold take on the imprint’s signature tailoring with double-take-worthy styling and erotic undertones.
“Your support does not go unseen,” the label’s cryptic collection notes begin. “The rock in your / alive and raw quinoa / the option to turn / towards love / is an option / with or without / glitter all over the face.”
Friends and collaborators of the brand — specifically David Moses, Hari Nef, Maryam Nassir Zadeh, Thistle Brown and Paloma Elsesser — graced the runway in honor of Eckhaus Latta’s first decade. Meanwhile, Cole Mohr closed the show in a boxy, uncomplicated black dress.
