Check Out the Ranking of World Cuisines for 2022
Italian cuisine earned the top spot, while Canadian cuisine neared the bottom of the list.
As we near the end of the year, TasteAtlas, an experiential travel guide centered around food, has put together a ranking of world cuisines for 2022. Collating authentic recipes, food critic reviews, and research articles about popular ingredients and dishes, TasteAtlas created an extensive list showing the best and worst cuisines around the world.
Topping the list is Italian, Greek, and Spanish cuisine with their nationally protected delicacies like Parmigiano Reggiano, Kalamata Olives, and Jamón Ibérico. While controversially coming at the bottom of the 95 entry list is Canadian, Latvian, Moroccan, and Norwegian cuisine, despite offering the world poutine, chicken tajine and Norwegian salmon. Interestingly, American cuisine ranked number eight on the list, beating out both French and Chinese cuisine despite their extensive culinary outlooks.
