As 2023 approaches, Nike is gearing up to celebrate the new year with a slew of Chinese zodiac-inspired releases. Associated with the Earthly Branch symbol “卯,” 2023’s “Year Of The Rabbit” silhouette sees soft and gentile traits and is thought to be the luckiest of all animals in the twelve-year cycle.

Nike’s Dunk Low “Year of the Rabbit” sports a similar design to the imprint’s Air Force 1 model, launched back in 2011. Soft white leather overlays kick things off, adorning the mudguards, lacing systems, and heel counters — the latter debased with a leaping bunny symbol. Dusty suede panels dress the underlays, while “Crimson” and “Varsity Royal” medial chenille Swooshes wrap opposite sides and portray the animal’s fuzzy coating.

Standard Nike branding hits the rear tabs, Chinese characters are embroidered into the tongue labels, and graphic insoles boast rabbit illustrations. Blue liners, year-specific lace dubraes, and laces complete the look stacked atop milky sole units that celebrate “2011” and “2023.”

Take a closer look at the Nike Dunk Low “Year of the Rabbit” in the gallery above, and expect the pair to drop in the forthcoming year for $110 USD.
