As the week in music comes to a close, HYPEBEAST has rounded up the best projects for the latest installment of Best New Tracks.

This week’s lineup is led by SZA, Gorillaz and YG x Lil Wayne, who each released the album SOS and the singles “Skinny Ape” and “Miss My Dawgs.” Also joining this selection are offerings from MOUNT WESTMORE, A Boogie Wit Da HoodieMoneybagg Yo, NLE Choppa and Polo G along with collaborative efforts from Justice x Logic and Icewear Vezzo x DJ Drama.

SZA - SOS

SZA’s highly-anticipated sophomore album SOS is finally here. The extensive 23-track record features guest appearances from Don Toliver on “Used,” Phoebe Bridgers on “Ghost in the Machine,” previous collaborator Travis Scott on “Open Arms” and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard on “Forgiveless,” as well as production and contribution credits from the likes of Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams of the Neptunes, Jay Versace, DJ Dahi and more.

Gorillaz – “Skinny Ape”

Gorillaz’s fourth single off their upcoming album Cracker Island, “Skinny Ape,” is also set to receive special AR music video performances. The band will literally tower over fans at Times Square and in Piccadilly Circus on December 17 and December 18 for a “first-of-their-kind immersive experiences” which will be directed by Gorillaz co-creator Jamie hewlett and Fx Goby, and created by Nexus Studios.

YG x Lil Wayne – “Miss My Dawgs”

YG enlists Lil Wayne for his newest single, “Miss My Dawgs.” The track marks the first release from YG since September’s I GOT ISSUES, and hears him pay homage to his late friend MC Slim 400.

West Coast rap supergroup MOUNT WESTMORE drops their debut studio effort, Snoop, Cube, 40, $hort. The 16-track album hears the rap veterans do what they do best, fostering a classic and collaborative atmosphere.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie - ME VS MYSELF

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie returns with his latest project ME VS MYSELF, which features guest appearances from the likes of Roddy Ricch, Kodak Black, G Herbo, Lil Durk, H.E.R and more.

Justice x Logic – “D.A.N.C.E (Logic Reprise)”

Justice tags Logic for a special remix of their hit cut “D.A.N.C.E.” The French electronic duo is celebrating the 15th anniversary of their 2007 album † with a deluxe edition, set to release on December 15.

Polo G – “My All”

Polo G is closing out his year with his latest single “My All,” which arrives with an accompanying music video helmed by Cole Bennett. The track arrives after “Bag Talk” and “Distraction,” which are set to join the rapper’s upcoming album due for a 2023 release.

Icewear Vezzo x DJ Drama - Paint The City

Icewear Vezzo and DJ Drama link up for Paint The City, the first-ever Gangsta Grillz tape by a Detroit rapper. The 15-track effort features guest appearances from Jeezy, Kodak Black, Future and 2 Chainz and closes out Vezzo’s Rich Off Pints series.

Moneybagg Yo – “Quickie”

Memphis’ Moneybagg Yo shares his sleek new single, “Quickie.” The track, which features the Lamont Dozier sample also heard on Outkast’s “Jazzy Belle,” arrives with a visual directed by Diesel Filmz.

NLE Choppa – “I Like”

NLE Choppa follows his Mackelmore-assisted cut “Faithful” with “I Like.” The DJ Chose-produced cut also features a music video, which sees the rapper enjoying a debaucherous mansion party.
