Rowing Blazers x Luke Edward Hall Is Filled With Ancient Wonder
Marking their second collaboration.
New York City-based brand Rowing Blazers has reunited with British artist and designer Luke Edward Hall for a new collaboration. Marking their second collection, the new effort is filled with ancient wonder.
In conceptualizing their latest collaboration, the two entities combined their experience in archaeology and art. In its celebration of the ancient world, the collaboration still stays true to Rowing Blazers’ roots with a range of preppy styles. As part of the brand’s FW22 collection, the collaboration sees two-colored striped suits, rugby shirts, cable knit sweaters, button-down shirts, embroidered corduroy pants and more.
Button-down shirts serve as a collection highlight with Roman Forum watercolor illustrations. Other ancient world details throughout the collection include a Greek vase, Tutankhamun’s golden mask, the goddess Minerva, the Lupercal and more. Finishing off the collaboration is a selection of caps.
“This new collection expands upon our original offering, with prints and embroideries made from new drawings, as well as new colorways,” said Hall. “Once again I took inspiration from the classical world. Having been fascinated by the stories, myths, art and architecture of Ancient Greece and Rome since childhood, I am very happy to be supporting an organization that promotes the study of Latin and Greek.”
A portion of the proceeds of the collection is set to benefit the diversity, equity and inclusion and world language advocacy efforts at the American Classical league’s Committee for Latin and Greek.
