Japanese brand, master-piece is known for producing quality men’s bags with a high level of functionality since 1994. Every piece is constructed with the brand’s original materials, which are developed in their Osaka-based in-house factory, where they also craft their bags. For Fall/Winter 2022, master-piece presented the “sa-hou” bag model — merging the needs of tea enthusiasts with its line of functional bags. The concept focused on uniting the “tea-life” and “bag life” philosophies, when wearers can brew, carry and enjoy their favorite teas in style, wherever, whenever.

The “sa-hou” bag comes with a draw-string fastening and is available in two sizes: nylon and waterproof leather. Priced at ¥17,050 JPY (approximately $115 USD), the nylon version comes in black, beige, or navy, while the leather version is retailed for ¥26,400 JPY (approximately $178 USD) and is only available in black or beige.

Each bag comes with a special edition KINTO x master-piece transparent water bottle, available in black, brown, or clear colorway. The bottles are also sold separately in two capacities: ¥2,860 JPY (approximately $20 USD) for 300ml and ¥3,300 JPY (approximately $23 USD) for 500ml.

To celebrate the launch, a special event will be held at master-piece’s Kyoto store and cafe on November 5. A selection of matcha and gyokuro tea will be available at the event, as well as a special menu featuring tea leaves from Ippodo Tea. All “sa-hou” bags purchased on the day will also come with Ippodo sencha tea bags.
