Here’s What You Missed at LOUIS XIII’s Fashionable NYC Event for THE DROP
Grammy-nominated R&B singer Brent Faiyaz and designer Timo Weiland were in attendance.
LOUIS XIII held an exclusive party in NYC’s Chelsea Neighborhood to celebrate the recent launch of THE DROP, a collection of miniature bottles reimagining the label’s exquisite cognac. With winter fashion in full effect, the night saw a glamorous display of fur, red leather and the season’s latest wearable accessory on display, as guests enjoyed DJ sets performed by Zack Bia and GETLIVE!.
Fida Bou Chabke, the Vice President of LOUIS XIII Americas, kicked off the night with a warm welcome and toast to the crowd. “We have created THE DROP because one drop is enough to understand everything encapsulated in our cognac: time and passion. We created THE DROP to be a cultural icon for the next generation. More than the product, we’ve brought to life a full experience. It’s a different ritual, yet a remarkable one,” said Anne-Laure Pressat, Director of Innovation & Sustainable Development for LOUIS XIII Cognac.
Pulling inspiration from THE DROP’s ethos of spontaneous luxury and #MakeItYours empowerment, the pop-up experience came to life with large-scale video installations and a dedicated wall artfully displaying the bottles in a kaleidoscopic pattern, where influencers gathered for standalone photo ops. These immersive visuals showcased the versatility of the miniature bottles as decorative objects and a new format of expressivity and decadence.
There were appearances from DJ Vashtie Kola and Grammy-nominated recording artist Brent Faiyaz, along with notable media personalities Young Paris, Olivia Palermo, fashion designer Timo Weiland, actor and deaf activist Nyle DiMarco and more. A diverse crowd of creatives spanning interior design, entertainment, hospitality and fashion enjoyed mixed cocktails inspired by THE DROP’s color-coded bottles: Loud, Glow, Bold, Smooth and Bright. Influencers wore the bijou bottles as a crossbody style paired with THE DROP Essential Accessory Set’s Holster and Strap, some even tying them around their wrists. One guest, in particular, mentioned the bottle’s resemblance to Victorian-style perfume bottles and luxury travel atomizers, noting the bottle could easily adorn her handbag or make for a statement piece on her curated bar cart.
