Bamford Watch Department Brings Popeye to Franck Muller's Vanguard

Bamford Watch Department has once again called on the services of cartoon hero Popeye, this time on the dial of two limited edition Franck Muller watches.
The Franck Muller x Bamford Watch Department Popeye Vanguard is offered in either black PVD titanium or 18K rose gold, limited to 60 and 25 pieces respectively.
Popeye’ oversized forearms serve as hour and minute hands, while the sailor is accompanied on the dial by Swee’Pea, who crawls around the dial on the tip of the seconds hand.
The watches are held secure inside an aluminium ‘spinach tin’ and comes with an original comic strip printed on a microfibre cloth for keeping the watch clean.
“Not only do these watches hold all the DNA of Popeye and Franck Muller but its creative packaging box will enhance the beauty and uniqueness of such a collectible watch,” says Nicholas Rudaz, CEO of Franck Muller.
The watches are available now via Bamford Watch Department, priced £12,500 GBP and £21,500 GBP (approximately $14,000 and $24,100 USD).
