For Spring/Summer 2022, Randomevent looked to explore an understanding of “self” and “rules.” Through its “THE MISSING CORNER” series, the label highlighted missing elements through an in-depth interpretation of the idea of “corner mark.” Like a missing corner of a box, the range breaks and challenges rules through subversive designs.
Concepts of “error”, “malfunction” and “missing” are expressed through the employment of text, coming in both minimalist and bold graffiti takes. A certain curiosity and enthusiasm comes through in a representation of challenging the established. Together, the range is cohesively bound by a collective vagueness, a reference to the boundless creativity of youth.
