EGONLab. Presents a New World Order for FW22
Marking the emerging label’s first runway show.
For its inaugural runway show, emerging French label EGONLab. presents a new world order for the Fall/Winter 2022 season. Titled “EGONIMATI,” the new collection symbolizes a society tasked with bringing about universal happiness and freedom.
Florentin Glémarec and Kevin Nompeix, the creative duo behind the ANDAM prize-winning label, exercise their signature punk-infused tailoring with the new collection through a dark color palette and strong silhouettes. Consisting of brooding medieval capes, tailored overcoats, contemporary suits, sculptural dresses, printed button-down shirts, puffer outerwear and more, the collection represents a unique offering permeated with subtle spiritual notes. Pieces largely come in black, but colors like deep green, tan, light blue and red permeate the aesthetic.
Other design details include print motifs inspired by Salvator Dalí’s surrealist pyramid that are woven onto collection shirts. While layering remains a focal point of elevating tailored ensembles, collection highlights include a black floor-length sequin overcoat and a ruffled pyramid-shaped ball gown that exhibits haute-couture design notes. Finishing off the looks are the brand’s signature claw rings in extra-long versions, necklaces, earrings and a septum piercing featuring jade green and clear Swarovski crystals.
