The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) has announced that the 2022 Golden Globes will be a “private event” with no livestream.

The non-profit organization confirmed the news on social media, tweeting, “This year’s event is going to be a private event and will not be live-streamed. We will be providing real-time updates on winners on the Golden Globes website and our social media.” Reports add that the complete list of winners will be announced in a press release after the ceremony.

NBC revealed in May 2021 that will not air the annual awards show after the HFPA received criticisms of lack of diversity and allegations of corruption. “We continue to believe that the HFPA is committed to meaningful reform. However, change of this magnitude takes time and work, and we feel strongly that the HFPA needs time to do it right,” a spokesperson for NBC said in a statement.

“As such, NBC will not air the 2022 Golden Globes,” they added. “Assuming the organization executes on its plan, we are hopeful we will be in a position to air the show in January 2023.”

The 2022 Golden Globes takes place on January 9.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Quentin Tarantino revealed that he has a written another Once Upon A Time in Hollywood book.
