Tod’s Releases Heritage Collection With Hender Scheme
Featuring outerwear, shoes and leather bags.

Italian fashion house Tod’s has released its collaborative capsule collection with Japanese leather goods maker, Hender Scheme. For the collection, Tod’s creative director Walter Chiapponi and Hender Scheme founder Ryo Kashiwazaki worked together to present a collection that fuses heritage and contemporary design aesthetics.
Titled “New Craft,” the collaboration is a part of Tod’s Factory project, a creative laboratory geared towards uniting established and emerging designers to experiment on new ideas. The fourth installment with Hender Scheme invites the Japanese brand to display its unique perspective on Tod’s heritage via access to the Italian house’s artisans and materials.
The new collection includes a range of ready-to-wear pieces, shoes, leather bags and accessories for both men and women. Ready-to-wear garments include outerwear, pull-over shirts and wide-legged pants. Two highlights are a camel-colored trench coat with chocolate leather accents and a pair of dark blue wide-legged denim with a tan leather brand patch. Shoe offerings feature leather moccasins with a pebble bottom, leather sneakers and leather loafers with fur inserts.
The collection’s leather bags feature two styles — a circle crossbody bag, which comes in tan pebble leather and black suede variations and a mini shopping tote, arriving in black, lavender, coral and goldenrod. Other collection accessories include suede tulip hats, wallets and a leather bottle holder.
The collection is currently available online at Tod’s website and Dover Street Market Ginza’s website and in-store at DSM Ginza.
