Sapporo Introduces First Hard Seltzer Dubbed "WATER SOUR"
A casual and refreshing 3% ABV drink.
Sapporo Beer Ltd. is launching two flavors of the WATER SOUR, its first ready-t0-drink hard seltzer product.
The drinks are light and refreshing, and are described as “liquor that can be enjoyed like carbonated water.” Both the Lemon and Orange flavors contain no sugar and a light 3% ABV. The product will be in direct competition with Suntory’s Chu-Hi Horoyoi White Sour drink which also sits at 3% ABV. Time will tell whether Sapporo will launch a higher alcohol content drink to compete with the highly popular Chu-Hi Strong drink.
The new Sapporo WATER SOUR comes in 350ml cans with a suggested before-tax price of ¥141 JPY (approximately $1.28 USD) and is now available nationwide in Japan.
