Devolver Digital and Free Lives have just released the trailer for its upcoming indie simulation game called Terra Nil.

This SimCity style of game focuses on saving and restoring a dying planet rather than expanding and growing a city. Instead of exploiting natural resources and growing consumption, this game is all about environmental rejuvenation. Starting from barren land, players must purify the earth for soil, then move on to restoring the biodiversity and climate, all the while surviving natural disasters. When wildlife and vegetation is able to survive without any external influence, players will then need to recycle all of their structures for nature to thrive.

The game description reads: “Navigate sprawling, verdant, hand-painted environments where everything but the rocks move and breathe. A meditative soundtrack and stunning audio palette will accompany your efforts.” Set to release in the coming months, head over to Terra Nil’s Steam link for more info.

In other gaming news, Diablo II: Resurrected is officially launching on September 23.
