Netflix Reveals the Post-Apocalyptic World of 'Sweet Tooth' In New Trailer

Netflix has just revealed a new trailer for Sweet Tooth, an upcoming post-apocalyptic adventure story based on Jeff Lemire’s DC comic.
For those who aren’t familiar with the cult-favorite comic, Sweet Tooth follows a deer-boy named Gus who journeys through a world torn apart by a viral outbreak. He fights to survive hunters who target anyone that bears his half-human form. Gus meets a wanderer with super-human strength and teams up with him as they navigate through the chaos.
Produced by Robert Downey, Jr. will be producing the show alongside Susan Downey, while Jim Mickle will be its writer and director. “We wanted to make a show that offers escape and adventure, where nature is reclaiming the world and in many ways, it feels like a fairytale,” said Mickle in a statement. “Sweet Tooth is a new kind of dystopian story, it’s very lush and hopeful. We want people to come into this world where there’s beauty and hope and adventure.”
Sweet Tooth will be premiering on Netflix on June 4.
