Takara Tomy's Device Turns Garigari-Kun Popsicles Into Shaved Ice
Celebrating 40 years of Garigari-Kun.
Takara Tomy is celebrating the popular summertime Japanese shaved ice treat with Garigari-Kun. Coming in the colors baby-blue and orange along with a special clear version, this device takes any Garigari-Kun popsicle and shaves the popsicle down into fluffy ice.
This “toy” was first sold over a decade again and was brought back to celebrate 500,000 units in sales that year and the 40th anniversary of “Gari-Gari-kun.” This time around, the Garigari-Kun shaver will be priced at a more affordable ¥990 JPY (approximately $9 USD).
