Since debuting at the 2011 Tokyo Fashion Week, Hiromichi Ochiai’s FACETASM label has gone from strength-to-strength. Building on the high of unveiling its upcoming “Why Not” Zer0.4 collaboration with Jordan, the brand’s latest Fall/Winter 2021 collection titled “+ New Documents” is accompanied by a short film shining a light on Japan’s thriving, youth-led subcultures.

Known for statement conceptualism, FACTASM continues to deliver on its striking design ethos. Its new offerings consist of an array of unisex pieces perfect for layering, although asymmetrical cuts make a significant proportion of the line, oversized fits remain the backbone of this collection. Flannel shirts, puffa jackets and sherpa fleeces personify protection in the colder months with stand-out pieces including a deconstructed sherpa denim jacket, a floor-length trench coat and two versions of an oversized blazer/pant set.

“+ New Documents” is presented with a vivid 6-minute visual following a group of friends adorned in the collection as they roam the streets of Japan. All partaking in their respective fields from skateboarding to dance, the film ends with the groups finding common ground.

Keep in the loop with FACETASM’s releases through the brand’s website.
