Travis Scott Spices up Erica Banks' Single "Buss It" With a Catchy Remix
La Flame adds his signature ad-libs and auto-tuned vocals.
Travis Scott has added a bit of his musical style to fellow Texas rapper Erica Banks’ single “Buss It.” The original song prompted a viral #BussItChallenge on TikTok, and it’s been taking off ever since.
The remix samples Nelly‘s Pharrell-produced hit “Hot in Herre,” peppered with Travis’ signature ad-libs. Kicking off the track, Travis delves into a verse packed with auto-tuned vocals and a laidback flow. Banks is heard later on in the second verse, delivering lines heard in the original track. According to sources, Banks wasn’t aware that Travis was working on the remix until one of her associates called her and played it over the phone: “I [was] just wowed. I’m like, ‘What the hell is going on? How did he even get this song?’ That’s how I found out, through a phone call of somebody calling me and telling me.”
