The JW Anderson Cardigan Made Popular by Harry Styles Is Now an NFT
Made by luxury fashion NFT platform xydrobe.
JW Anderson’s popular multicolor knitted cardigan is going on sale once more, this time as an NFT.
The color block patchwork cardigan was first popularized by Harry Styles during a rehearsal session last year, sparking a wave of TikTok fans recreating the unique garment for themselves. It became so popular that the British label released a free downloadable instruction pattern so fans could continue making the knit garment.
In collaboration with JW Anderson, the digital sweater was created by xydrobe, a new luxury fashion NFT platform. The collaboration with JW Anderson marks xydrobe’s first NFT auction, with further company plans to “host an unparalleled and curated selection from each of our collectible categories: Runway, Icons, Archive, and Launches,” reads the company’s website.

Taking over 300 hours to construct, the digital sweater auction will go live on Sunday, December 12, at 19:00 UTC on xydrobe’s website, with bidding starting at 1 Ethereum (about $4,500 USD). Additionally, proceeds that exceed £10,000 (about $13,300 USD) will be donated to akt, a London-based charity that helps LGBTQ+ youth who are experiencing homelessness.
