Todd Snyder and J.Press Offer a Modern Take on Classic Collegiate Styles
Featuring reimagined suits, knitwear, a Duffle coat and more.
Menswear designer Todd Snyder and Yale-founded men’s clothier J.Press have teamed up to offer a modern take on collegiate styles.
The Retake Ivy Collection sees the century-old clothier and Todd Snyder add a refreshed downtown sensibility to classic menswear styles like the Sack Suit, Duffle coat, Harris Tweed blazer, Boxy Chino, Oxford shirt and Shaggy Dog sweater. Consisting of 48 items, the new collection is washed in bold colors like goldenrod, maroon, coral, olive, tangerine, camel and more in addition to a range of fabrics.
“J. Press has always been a little under the radar,” says Snyder. “So, we were excited to partner with them and take some of their classics and give them a little attitude. We also have taken some of our more modern pieces like our chore coat then J. Press-ified them by designing them in Harris Tweed.”
Specifically, the Sack Suit is reimagined in vibrant tweeds, stripes and a yellow and black tartan. The collection’s Oxford shirt is reworked to create a worn aesthetic that has been repaired throughout time, while the Shaggy Dog sweater is recast in several new colors. In addition to updated styles and colors, the collection sees Ivy League iconography like Chenille patches and the J.Press bulldog mascot on several collection garments.
The Todd Snyder x J.Press collection releases November 19 exclusively at toddsnyder.com and Todd Snyder’s Madison Park flagship location.
