Patrick Mahomes is focusing on getting his Chiefs squad ready to take on the Buffalo Bills this week, but in the midst of all of the football action, he’s also taking time to further expand upon his footwear initiatives with adidas. After unveiling his signature training shoe, the one-time Super Bowl champion is now following up with his own adidas ZX 2K Boost.

Wild patterns and louder accents are the highlights of the Pro Bowl quarterback’s newest kicks. A majority of the real estate here is covered in white including the textile upper and the toe caps. Contrast comes through thanks the black adidas stripes that gradually fade out at the bottom as well as the overlays adjacent to the throat and above the midsoles which are made with shiny, multi-colored leather. In addition, Mahomes spruces up the midsole unit and heel counters with psychedelic patterns to symbolize a time warp, the speed in which Mahomes is evolving the game. Stuffed inside the bottom unit is BOOST foam which provides wearers with ample comfort.

“While you can’t change the rules of time, you don’t need to be constrained by them,” said Mahomes. “Every design element of this ZX 2K Boost 2.0 is associated with time – from the unique colorway that really pops, to the black wavy stripes and psychedelic graphics, to the ‘2PM’ mark. When people wear these, I want them to be inspired to blur the boundaries of what’s expected and never take a second for granted.”

Interested in copping? The Patrick Mahomes x adidas ZX 2K Boost is slated to release on October 9 via adidas and on October 23 through Foot Locker brands for $160 USD.
